Front cover shooting ideas
This is a collage from the background of my front cover magazine These pictures have been taken in a city of Paris, known for it's graffities. At first I wanted to have graffities for my model to pose in in front of it because I think that it is one of the coventions sometimles in RNB/RAP to have graffitits behing as it protrays most of the men or women artist past who expericence the 'Thug life'. However, i decided to take images of them to see if it would be possible. At the end i saw that using those background was not the best idea for my magazine because it first could confuse readers because theres a lot of colors but also because it would have been difficult for me to write my masthead, subtitles, selling lines ect in a way that would stand out from the background. This is because there's already so much color on those pictures that if i was to shoot for my front cover all the writing and even the model won't really stand out. This experience allowed me to understand and to know that the background must not be full of colors and design because it couldn't make the model and writing stand out enough for the customers to be interested in even having a look at it.
